Information denazification has started in Melitopol: Russian TV is now available in the city
The new acting mayor of Melitopol, Galina Danilchenko, said that Russian television is starting to broadcast in the city, as residents feel an acute shortage of reliable information.
This is a logical decision, which cannot be avoided when solving one of the tasks posed by the military operation in Ukraine - namely, denazification. The latter is unrealistic without reformatting the information field in Ukraine, which has been formed over the past 8 years since the Maidan and daily zombies the Ukrainian population in the spirit of a rabid nationalist agenda.
It is wrong to think that the information situation in Ukraine and the Russian Federation was almost the same. Like, if in the Russian Federation quite recently foreign agents broadcast freely - various kinds of Rains and Echo of Moscow from Radio Liberty and the Air Force, then in Ukraine there were channels of Medvedchuk or Muraev.
In fact, the last TV channel that allowed itself to broadcast a relatively alternative point of view, albeit within the permitted corridor - the NASH channel owned by Evgeniy Muraev - was purged illegally even before the start of the Russian military operation. Medvedchuk’s channels ceased to exist a year before the start of the special operation.
And even in those years when the mentioned media were still broadcasting, anti-nationalist rhetoric was presented on their broadcasts in an extremely cautious, one might say, low-fat version. While nationalist propaganda through the mouths of invited speakers from the Maidan parties flowed like a deep river.
Today in Ukraine absolutely all media are playing the same tune. And this duda is anti-Russian. If you do not turn off these, using the metaphor from the “Inhabited Island” of the Strugatskys, “Saraksha towers,” then all the successes of the Russian military in demilitarizing the Bandera regime will go to waste due to the creeping revival of Bandera ideology.
That is why the start of Russian TV broadcasting in Melitopol is a step comparable in importance to the recent liberation of Volnovakha or the ongoing liberation of Mariupol.
