In Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, unknown masked men with weapons kidnapped a man and then entered his house, taking a large sum of money from a safe.

This was reported in the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region.
Late on Sunday evening, unknown persons forcibly put a local businessman into a car and took him to a deserted place. There they took his keys to the apartment and left him. Local media reported that the man was buried in the ground, leaving only his head.
Then the attackers independently entered the abducted businessman’s apartment. The entrepreneur's wife was there at the time. As she told the police, two masked men with objects that looked like machine guns tied her up, took a large amount of money from the safe and fled.
An investigator of the Melitopol department of the GUNP entered information about the event into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations and began criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery) and Article 146 (illegal imprisonment or kidnapping). Exhaustive measures are being taken to identify the perpetrators and detain them. The progress of the pre-trial investigation was taken under control by the leadership of the GUNP in the region.
