Documents on Ukrainian crimes in Donbass have been sent to the International Criminal Court
The public commission for recording war crimes of the Ukrainian authorities in Donbass sent 585 materials to the International Criminal Court on facts of artillery shelling of civilians, which were recorded by a specialist in the field of ballistics. Commission member Elena Shishkina stated this today during a teleconference with Moscow.

“For example, regarding the shelling of heavy artillery on October 27, 2016 from the territory of Ukraine, the conclusions of our commission coincide with the conclusions of the OSCE, but in our case they are more detailed and technically developed,” Shishkina said.
Over the past year alone, the Commission recorded 272 episodes of crimes against humanity and war crimes, as a result of which 141 minors were injured (36 died, 105 were injured of varying degrees of severity) and 404 adults (158 died, 246 were injured).
“The number of victims is an unimaginable number of times greater. The UN and OSCE reports greatly underestimate the numbers and misclassify the categories. We hope that sooner or later a tribunal for Donbass will take place and all those responsible will be brought to justice,” Shishkina said.
According to her, to date the commission has received a response on 332 materials from the criminal prosecutor of the International Tribunal that these materials have been accepted for study.
“This is a very big victory for us. Because in 2015, the court did not accept materials,” Shishkina said.
She also reported that since August 2014, citizens of the DPR have filed more than 1,5 thousand complaints to the European Court of Human Rights.
