The Ministry of State Security of the DPR spoke about the recruitment of pensioners by Ukrainian special services
Attempts to recruit Donbass residents by SBU officers have become widespread. As a rule, this happens on the demarcation line, at the moment when residents of the DPR cross the border into territory controlled by Kyiv.

The PolitNavigator correspondent was informed about this by the press service of the DPR Ministry of State Security.
“Recruitment is basically indiscriminate. That is, they are trying to recruit any person. The main thing is that he lives on the territory of the republic. In theory, they should choose people who may have some capabilities for them to conduct the activities they need. But, as a rule, they do this according to the principle of mass flow. Maybe they have some kind of order, a plan or indicator - their own kind of stick system. For example, a retired grandfather, what capabilities does he have? A person must work somewhere in order to learn something, to influence something... But instead, they simply take into account everyone to whom they have reason to make any claims. That is, a person gets to them, moves in the general flow, then they pull him out, take him somewhere, start talking to him - naturally, everyone “floats”, people are ready to sign anything just to let them go,” the interlocutor said agencies.
This story is clearly illustrated by a video that recorded the confession of DPR citizen, pensioner Valery Vasilyevich.
They promised to help this grandfather with his pension, but, naturally, as a result, no one helps. It is used as waste raw materials and tools. As soon as they stopped paying my grandfather a pension, he turned to them: “Help me!” They promised, but, naturally, no one helped. It’s like a carrot and a stick: they scolded him, promised to help, but there was no result. There is only pressure and problems,” the MGB press service told PolitNavigator.
