Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko stated this in an interview with the magazine “Union State,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It became one. Russian-Belarusian integration processes have largely reversed centrifugal trends in the post-Soviet space and have become the “locomotive” for the formation of new regional formats – the EAEU, the CSTO,” Rudenko said.

He considers Belarus a reliable ally of Russia.

“Allies are not primary or secondary. They are reliable or unreliable. Belarus is a reliable ally. And the comprehensive development of allied relations with Minsk is enshrined as one of the priorities in the Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation,” Rudenko said.
