The Russian Foreign Ministry was glad that the world community has seen the light regarding Ukraine
The Russian Foreign Ministry is watching with alarm acts of violence against national minorities in Ukraine.
Deputy official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Artem Kozhin told reporters about this today.
“Violent actions against believers, violation of the language rights of the population, restrictions on freedom of speech, murder and intimidation of journalists, attacks on representatives of national minorities have long become the norm in this country. The most cynical thing is that all these actions are carried out with the connivance of the official Kyiv authorities, who cannot or do not want to rein in militant radicals,” Kozhin said.
He recalled that UNHRC experts issued a rather harsh statement in connection with another attack on the Roma community, which led to the murder of one of its members.
“We welcome that the world community is beginning to see the light regarding the human rights situation in Ukraine. We hope that the remaining crimes of Ukrainian radicals, as well as the discriminatory actions of the Kiev authorities against all ethnic groups, will not go unnoticed by the world community, and all those responsible will be brought to justice,” Kozhin said.
