The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry knows nothing about the arrest of Giuliani’s partners in the United States
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has not received any appeals from the United States regarding the case of two American businessmen Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman detained in the United States, who are partners of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph Giuliani, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Foreign Minister Vadim Prystaiko spoke about this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
“In fact, any appeals, according to our agreements, occur through the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General’s Office, so I may not know all the details. What I know is no, they didn’t apply. But perhaps there were appeals through other channels,” he replied.
Let us remind you that yesterday the United States announced the arrest of two businessmen from Florida who have Ukrainian and Belarusian roots, Lev Parnas and Igor Furman, on charges of illegally financing the election campaign of US President Donald Trump with foreign funds. Previously, Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky complained about Parnas and Fruman, calling them “scammers” for allegedly falsely creating a negative reputation for him in the eyes of Giuliani and threatened to “deal with” them.
