This recommendation was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that citizens of Ukraine, when planning trips to the Russian Federation, realistically assess the existing risks and existing threats and carefully weigh the need for such travel,” the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs claims that cases of groundless detention of Ukrainian citizens on the territory of the Russian Federation, inhumane treatment of Ukrainians by Russian law enforcement officers and the use of torture continue.
