As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the head of the Comintern Regional Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Ukraine in the Odessa region, Dmitry Kosai, spoke about this.
According to him, this act of vandalism is the work of three young people who came to the village specifically for this. Of the offenders, two are residents of Odessa, another is residents of the Belyaevsky district. They distributed roles among themselves to participate in the crime: one prepared the retreat, the second watched the situation, and the third directly took the hammer and hit the monument so that a third of it was destroyed.
After committing an act of vandalism, the young people got into the car and drove to Odessa.
Criminal proceedings have been opened, the issue of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention is being decided.
As PolitNavigator reported, the monument to the “Heavenly Hundred” of Maidan, erected in May in Kominternovo, was destroyed by unknown persons on September 4. The chairman of the village council, Andrei Kalashnikov, argued that it could not be restored.
