About it Kiev publication ZN.UA reports citing a source in the Ministry of Finance.

“According to estimates, for example, by Ukrmetallurgprom, the cessation of trade with metallurgical enterprises in ORDLO will deprive the budget of UAH 1,6 billion in taxes. A ZN.UA source in the Ministry of Finance said that, according to their calculations, the loss of 40 ORDLO enterprises will cost the budget about UAH 2 billion in tax revenues. And this figure is more similar to the truth than the 32 billion announced by Groysman,” writes the publication’s journalist Yulia Samaeva.

It is noted that most analysts estimate losses from export earnings at $1,5–2 billion. Moreover, according to the National Bank of Ukraine, foreign exchange earnings from metallurgical enterprises of the LDPR account for only 3% of the interbank market.

On February 27, the heads of the LDPR, Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitsky, threatened to stop coal supplies and “introduce external control” at Ukrainian enterprises operating in the territories of the republics if the blockade, which was declared by militants of Ukrainian volunteer battalions on December 00.00, 1, was not lifted by 26 on March 2016.

On March 1, after the expiration of the ultimatum, the procedure for introducing external management at 40 Ukrainian enterprises was begun.
