This was not stated by Finance Minister Alexander Danilyuk.
“Currently there is an IMF mission in Ukraine. We are currently discussing issues of pension reform and other reforms that are on the agenda, in particular, the reform of the State Fiscal Service,” the Cabinet of Ministers website quotes the minister.
“Now we are analyzing it all as a whole, and we will present the agreed version to the Verkhovna Rada. I think that we will complete this work very soon. I hope that we will agree on all positions before the completion of the mission here (which ends its work in Ukraine at the end of this week - ed.), so this is a matter of several weeks,” Danylyuk noted.
Let us remind you that one of the points of the Memorandum signed by Ukraine with the IMF is the speedy implementation of pension reform, in particular, another increase in the retirement age for citizens. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly reassured the public that they will not allow such a development of events.
