The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine knows nothing about the Russian attack from the south
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine does not have information about a possible attack on the south of Ukraine from Russia, which former Minister Pavel Klimkin spoke about the day before, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andrei Zagorodnyuk, the press service of the department reports.
“We are very interested in where Mr. Klimkin got such data. If he can bring them to our intelligence, we will be very grateful. But we constantly monitored the situation both in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories. Currently we do not have such information. If there is one, we are usually prepared for any scenario. Therefore, we feel confident here,” the press service quotes the minister as saying.
The day before, former Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said that he was “absolutely confident” that Russia would “try to expand the occupation zone” and strike southern Ukraine.
Military exercises between Ukraine and NATO are planned for 2020 in the Black Sea, which will focus on “hybrid threats.”
