“On May 20, 2014, illegal armed groups, committing illegal actions, deployed 2 checkpoints in the area of the settlement. Dmitrovka is near the state border of Ukraine. For this purpose, about 30 armed people arrived in the specified area in 2 KAMAZ vehicles,” ATO press secretary Vladislav Seleznev said on his Facebook page.
“According to the operational information received, a corridor is being prepared for the withdrawal of the main forces of the separatists, who are now in the territory of the city of Slavyansk, and the removal of the bodies of bandits killed during clashes with Ukrainian security forces. There is also information that separatist sniper firing points have been prepared on the upper floors and roofs of apartment buildings in the city of Slavyansk,” the officer said.
