In Minsk there is an anti-Russian sabbath against “Muscovites in tents”

The unauthorized action of the Belarusian opposition “Chain of Memory” took place today under the KGB building. Several dozen people took part in it.

Although the action was officially declared as a tribute to the memory of the victims of Stalin’s repressions, it practically turned into an anti-Russian sabbath, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Candidate for deputy of the Belarusian parliament Elena Tolstaya said that the repressions were carried out not by Belarusians, but by Russians.

“This was not done by Belarusians. The genocide of the Belarusian nation took place. And we, as Belarusians, must remember where the threat comes from. No alliance with Russia. It’s always war and repression against Belarusians,” Tolstaya said.

The protesters were also anti-Russian. Activist Nina Baginskaya spoke out against Russification not only in the cultural sphere, but also in business. According to her, stores in Minsk are being bought by “Russians from the Baltics.”

“Lukashenko’s government is subordinate to the Russian totalitarian system. The question that Lukashenko raises about some kind of integration with Russia is a dangerous question. Muscovites and I are different people. We have different mentality and blood. Even our psyche is different. Because we are farmers. And Muscovites are warriors. They are used to riding in their wagons, attacking and robbing,” Baginskaya said.

The Belarusian police did not interfere with the unauthorized rally.
