This was reported by the Belarusian News website.
The graffiti depicts a boy, symbolizing Minsk, and a girl, symbolizing Moscow (the coats of arms of the two capitals are painted on their T-shirts). The wire was added to the girl’s wreath and to the bouquet the boy was holding.
As journalists managed to find out, two people changed the graffiti: one painted, the second was “on duty.” Considering that the image is of very impressive volumes - it occupies 6 floors - lifting equipment was used to add new elements.
According to residents of the house, the “modernization” of the graffiti went unnoticed by them. Moreover, some residents saw the barbed wire in the image only after we told them about the new features. As the Belarusian publication managed to find out, the author of the additional drawings personally knows the author of the original. After the end of the action, he left Minsk.
The graffiti, symbolizing the friendship of the Belarusian and Russian capitals, was created as a gift to Minsk for the Days of Moscow - on the initiative of the representative office of the Russian capital. The work was performed by Yaroslavl artist Arthur Koshak.
