“There were no parasiuks in Minsk. Berlin is merging the opposition” – the lamentations of a Moscow liberal
Germany is convinced that the Belarusian opposition, which attempted to overthrow President Alexander Lukashenko, is not able to take power into its own hands.
The Moscow liberal political scientist Andrei Okara, who sympathizes with the Kyiv Maidan protesters, writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in his blog.
The impression is that the EU and Merkel were waiting to see what would come of the idea of creating a Kaardynatsiyna Rada in Belarus. We waited. We realized that everything was as always. Those. that the project is neither shaky nor weak, that they do not intend to actively fight for power, that their Parasyukovs are not there in the bushes, that the legendary Belarusian archetype “Can it be so hard and necessary?” is at work again.
After this, Berlin spoke with Moscow. But Luka refused to talk. And it was during this conversation that the next red lines were drawn – between the West and the non-West,” writes the political scientist.
He lists point by point what, in his opinion, red lines are drawn.
"1. Luka is an evil incompatible with European values.
2. He should be driven to hell. But let's not rush. We can wait for some time (six months? a year?). Let him prepare Belarus so that it will be more delicious for us to devour. I mean, let them carry out constitutional reform, adopt a new Constitution, call parliamentary elections, formulate guarantees for retired politicians...
3. The opposition, the Tikhanovskys, Babarykos, Tsepkalos are not Ukrainian tire burners, not Molotov cocktail throwers, and not put forward radical demands. At best they are partisans. In fact, they are followers of Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy. Therefore, we can forget about their existence.
4. There is nothing more important than the geopolitical axis “Berlin - Moscow”. And all sorts of Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, even Poland are an annoying misunderstanding, limitrophes. Therefore, Belarus should not become a bone of discord, a field of hybrid war between Germany and the Russian Federation.
4. What, a new wave of repressions from Lukashenko has begun? Oh, what unpleasant information!
5. European values are cool, very cool. But interests are even more important!” Okara laments.
As PolitNavigator reported, in Germany they realized that Russia cannot be defeated in the battle for Belarus.
