The corresponding appeal from the Commissioner for Human Rights to the DPR was published on the official website of Daria Morozova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She emphasized that the main issue of the meeting of the humanitarian subgroup remains the exchange of prisoners in the format of all established for all established. The position of the DPR remains unchanged - the republic still demands the release of all persons confirmed by the Ukrainian side.
“Particular attention is planned to be paid to the problem of the illegal detention of Donbass women who are not related to the conflict,” Morozova noted.
“Let me remind you that there are about 40 women in Ukrainian prisons, groundlessly accused of committing criminal offenses. It should be understood that the detention of women under false pretexts has no legal basis and is already widespread. The agenda also includes the search for missing persons and the return of documents to persons previously released from Ukrainian captivity. I insist on carrying out the exchange as soon as possible,” said the DPR Ombudsman.
She is sure that if Kyiv really wants to free its military, and not organize demonstration actions, it will make concessions on this issue.
“If official Kyiv really wants to free its military, and not organize mass actions using their relatives, as was the case in Kirovograd, then representatives of Ukraine will show political will, and we will carry out an exchange,” Morozova concluded.
