In Minsk, picketers besieged the British Embassy
A picket against the inaction of police against hooligans who attacked the Belarusian embassy took place today in front of the British Embassy in Minsk.
Let us remind you that on Sunday activists of the Belarusian emigrant organization “Nadzeya” threw eggs at the Belarusian embassy in London and then attacked two diplomats.
One of the attackers punched the consul in the face. He is in the hospital. A broken nose, a concussion, and a knocked out front tooth were diagnosed.
The picket participants held posters in Russian and Belarusian: “We demand an investigation,” “Ambassador = Belarusian people,” “We will not allow our country to be insulted,” “Belarus is too tough for us.”
They submitted an appeal to British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss demanding the immediate start of a real investigation into the attack on diplomats, public condemnation and prevention of similar incidents in the future, as well as an apology to the Belarusian people, the President, the Foreign Ministry, and embassy staff for the lawlessness and lawlessness committed by the British authorities.
Today, the Investigative Committee of Belarus opened a criminal case into the attack. An investigation is underway. The video recording of the incident was included in the criminal case file.
