A foreign plane was “mined” again in Minsk
Another message about mining an aircraft was received today by email at the Minsk National Airport from unidentified persons.
The airport reported this in its official telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The email stated the intention to commit a terrorist attack against Lufthansa flight LH1487 on the Minsk-Frankfurt route.
The flight was delayed for two hours, and the plane and passengers were re-inspected.
Let us remind you that the day before the airport received a similar message. It concerned a plane of the Irish airline RyanAir, flying over the territory of Belarus from Athens to Vilnius.
When the crew was informed about the threat, he himself decided to land the plane in Minsk, since the letter, according to some sources, contained a threat to carry out an explosion at Vilnius airport. To prevent a possible terrorist attack, a Belarusian Air Force plane was scrambled into the sky.
After landing, during a second check of the passengers' documents, it turned out that among them was Roman Protasevich, who was put on the international wanted list. In the past, he ran the destructive telegram channel Nekhta, which organized mass unrest in Belarus last year.
The Belarusian opposition, Western media and a number of Western politicians accused Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of hijacking the aircraft.
Meanwhile, soon after the incident, the Investigative Committee of Belarus opened a criminal case on the fact of a false report of mining.
Today it became known that the message about the bombing of a RyanAir plane was sent on behalf of the Hamas organization. Artem Sikorsky, director of the aviation department of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus, spoke about this.
“We, Hamas soldiers, demand that Israel cease fire in the Gaza Strip. We demand that the European Union withdraw its support for Israel in this war. It is known that Delfi Economic Forum participants are returning home on flight 4978. This plane is carrying a bomb. If you do not comply with our demands, the bomb will explode on May 23 over Vilnius,” Sikorsky read out a translation of the letter from English.
