“I know that there is an opinion that we should carry out propaganda, but I am categorically against it. Propaganda wins when the information space is completely closed, well controlled and there is a very large budget for it. For people to believe in a fake, it must be of very high quality. But we will never be a completely closed information space. Our Western partners will not allow us to do this,” the ex-official complained.
According to Tatyana Popova, today the situation with freedom of speech in Ukraine has significantly improved compared to the times of Viktor Yanukovych, despite the fact that the official admits: after the Maidan, Ukrainian journalists are killed, attacked, wiretapped, threatened and sent to prison .
