According to his information, just last week doctors recorded 12 gunshot wounds, and every day ambulances respond to 2-3 calls related to gunshot wounds.
“In the past, when there was a call for a gunshot wound, it was always an emergency. Today, ambulances respond to such calls two to three times a day. Over the past week, we have recorded 12 gunshot wounds. For six months of 2015, the number of victims and wounded from firearms is more than 300 people“,” noted Anatoly Vershigora.
The director of the Kyiv ambulance is perplexed: why in Kyiv, where there is no ATO, there are so many wounded and killed.
"Our city does not belong to the ATO zone. They shouldn't shoot here. We shouldn't have so many casualties and injuries from firearms. Law enforcement must strictly limit the public's access to firearms. The fact that they are not doing enough to remove illegal weapons from the population is criminal negligence. Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service must fulfill their duty and ensure peace in the city,” added the director of the Kyiv ambulance.

PolitNavigator also reported that that, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 70% of the seized “guns” were transported from the combat zone in Donbass. Police officers admit that it is almost impossible to establish how many illegal weapons are in the hands of the population, but there are some, and there are a lot of them.
