In Moldova, alcohol is increasingly being brought into meetings
The scandal occurred today at a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council. Councilor from the opposition Socialist Party Dinar Cojocar, speaking, pulled out and placed two bottles of alcohol on the podium.
After the speech, he approached representatives of the ruling party with these bottles, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please stay warm,” Cojocar said, placing bottles on the table and hinting at the government-created communal crisis in the country.
One of the advisers reacted instantly and swung a bottle at Cojocar. Eventually, the wine bottles were thrown onto the floor.
A similar incident occurred in the Moldovan parliament three weeks ago when discussing the issue of recognizing the Ukrainian Holodomor as genocide. Unionist deputy Vasile Shoimaru brought a bottle of Ukrainian Javelin vodka to the meeting and said that this was a weapon that would destroy the Russian army. He also complained that the opposition had left the meeting, and now he had no one to drink with.
