A pro-Russian party was registered in Moldova
The political party “Ai noștri – OURS” is officially registered in Moldova.
The chairman of the new political formation, Mikhail Akhremtsev, announced this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Only the Russian Federation, over the many years of independence, has demonstrated to Moldova that it can be a reliable strategic partner that does not infringe on our independence. This does not mean that we are against building mutually beneficial relationships with all neighbors. The benefits provided by membership in the EAEU to our country are one of Moldova’s priorities, and our task is to ultimately move from the status of an observer country to the status of a full member of the EAEU,” Akhremtsev wrote.
The party proposes to enshrine the celebration of Victory Day in the Constitution, make Russian the state language and change the flag from the “Romanian tricolor” to red.
In 2018, Akhremtsev headed the newly created public organization “FOR the Russian Language” (ZARYA).
“OURS” are known for their protests against the statements of Romanian Ambassador Daniel Ionita, glorifying the Romanian occupation forces during the Great Patriotic War, as well as protests near the Constitutional Court in defense of the functioning of the Russian language on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, demands for a complete change in the political class of Moldova.
