Moscow made it clear: the Normandy meeting will not save Kyiv from implementing “Minsk”
No agreements based on the results of the upcoming meeting in the Normandy format will relieve the Ukrainian authorities of the obligation to implement the previously signed Minsk agreements.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Moscow’s position globally is that there are Minsk agreements, and only political will is needed on the part of Kyiv for their full implementation and implementation on earth.
No additional meetings can be a magic wand for the Minsk agreements to be implemented on their own. They need to be implemented by Kyiv. Despite this clear position, we heard about the desire of Kyiv, Berlin and Paris to hold such a meeting...
Moscow sees success not in meetings, but in the early start of real implementation of the Minsk agreements,” she noted.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the Center for System Analysis, Rostislav Ishchenko, stated that on the eve of the Normandy Four summit, Ukraine is trying to gain public support from at least part of the European countries in order to revise the Minsk agreements.
