Moscow wants to recognize the LDPR and begin supplying weapons to the republics
Under the current Ukrainian government, autonomy for Donbass is impossible, and therefore Russia must recognize the DPR and LPR.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov stated this on air on the Russian TV channel TVC.
“The government in Ukraine is absolutely hostile towards the Russian population. We must admit that under this government, the autonomy of the LDPR within Ukraine is impossible. We need to recognize these formations and put weapons there. Russian people are dying there,” the politician is convinced.
Such actions, in his opinion, will ensure qualitative progress in negotiations with the United States.
“Only then will Americans begin to speak normally. It is impossible to do otherwise with them. Otherwise, they will finish with Ukraine and take on us,” Kalashnikov warned.
