Several LGBT activists were detained today in Moscow on Sakharov Square during the rally “For a Free Internet”. According to eyewitnesses, the girls were detained after a conflict with Russian nationalists present at the rally. They allegedly snatched the rainbow flag from them. However, for some reason the police did not detain the nationalists.

About a thousand people gathered at the rally in defense of the free Internet. He walked through the pouring rain. The organizers of the event were the parties PARNAS, "Civil Initiative", Pirate Party, Libertarian Party, "Democratic Choice", movements "Left Bloc", "Roskomsvoboda" and "Protest Moscow".
