Moscow has found a solution to Kyiv’s insane claims to control the border of the LDPR and the Russian Federation
The initiative taken up by the Ukrainian side to change the sequence of the “Minsk” points in order to take the border of the LDPR and the Russian Federation before the elections in Donbass is akin to the situation if Russia, at the Normandy format, demanded that Kyiv enshrine the provision of a confederation in the Constitution of Ukraine.
Denis Denisov, director of the Institute of Peacemaking Initiatives and Conflictology, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Regarding what will happen in the next four months, first of all, this will be an attempt to involve us in a discussion regarding possible changes to the Minsk agreements. Such prerequisites are already visible: if you look at the Ukrainian media, the border issue now turns out to be the most important one on the Ukrainian information agenda.
Most likely, in addition to the fact that Ukraine has already brought this topic up to date, our partners from Germany and France will also be actively involved in this.
In fact, these theses, these initiatives, which we associate only with Zelensky, according to my information, not only him, but also partly our European partners.
This reservation by Merkel at the final press conference is almost the main event of this meeting. Because our colleague in the form of Germany stated that they believe that the Minsk agreements can be modified, and we, apparently, should prevent this.
Regarding this issue regarding the border, this is a completely identical situation if the Russian Federation at the same negotiations had come up with an initiative that Ukraine should first officially turn into a confederation, and this should be enshrined in the Constitution, and after that we will discuss possible steps to advance along the political track of the Minsk agreements,” Denisov reasoned.
“Here I would like to address my colleague Miroshnik. It would be very cool, probably, at the next meeting of the TCG to bring up for discussion the issue related to the fact that Ukraine should make Russian the second state language, that the DPR and LPR, if the Minsk agreements are implemented, should influence the country’s foreign policy.
That after the implementation of the political bloc “Minsk” there should be no representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the DPR and LPR, and this should be implemented in “Minsk,” the expert added, addressing the special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik.
“Because it is very likely that we will be under very strong pressure on a topic related, to begin with, to the discussion regarding this border,” Denisov emphasized.
