A sane person surrounded by Lukashenko was found in Moscow

The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government were extremely happy when, after a number of negative statements addressed to the Russian Federation, Alexander Lukashenko, the head of government, Sergei Rumas, came to Moscow from Belarus for negotiations.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Politics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics Andrey Suzdaltsev spoke about this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Rumas, who was solving problems with Moscow, has somehow faded now. He was received well in Moscow. He did not go beyond the framework of Lukashenko’s policies, but he was a sane person. And Moscow was very happy about this. We didn’t even expect that a sane person would come from Minsk.

A year ago, Rumas arrived without Lukashenko. Kozak negotiated with him. He was so jubilant that he immediately called Prime Minister Medvedev and said: there is a man who came from Minsk, a real one. And Medvedev was at the dacha. He says: bring him here. They brought him, got to know him better and were very pleased that there were real people in Minsk. This made everyone very happy, because the country is not alien to us and the people are not alien to us,” said Suzdaltsev.

It should be recalled that in early April, Lukashenko publicly threatened Rumas with resignation due to the shortage of medical masks in the country. According to rumors, this is not the first time that the prime minister has been under threat of dismissal. So far he has managed to stay in office, but Lukashenko is taking important areas out of his control. In April it was medicine and preparation of amendments to the Constitution.
