Moscow called Navalny’s “poisoning” a special operation of the West against the Russian vaccine “Sputnik V”
The main goal of the Western campaign fanning the scandal surrounding the alleged “poisoning” of opposition blogger Alexei Navalny is to discredit the new coronavirus vaccine developed by Russian scientists.
Russian political scientist Alexey Martynov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Before our eyes, the special operation Skripali 2.0 is unfolding, again using the same methodology, with the same participants. Just look at who the main newsmakers are - Belingcat, Insider, etc. These are the people who endlessly threw stuff in and took part in these special operations,” Martynov said.
“These so-called news, they come from there. I would question not only that Navalny came out of a coma, but that he is even alive today. And the goal of this special operation is the medium-term - the deterioration of Russian-German relations. But the main goal is to discredit the achievements of Russian scientists in developing a vaccine against coronavirus that is already known throughout the world.
Look at the course of events: first, Washington imposed sanctions on Russian research institutes, including two institutes that participated in the development of the vaccine. Again, related to chemical weapons. Then this story with Navalny. And today this is already reaching the right point, when the whole world should doubt that since they are poisoning their opposition leader, then they definitely want to poison us all with this vaccine,” the expert said.
