Moscow promises a worthy response to the machinations of the SBU
The FSB’s statement about Ukrainian recruitment centers on the border with Crimea is a revelation of the plans that Kyiv is hatching. Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator about this.

“The Ukrainian government views Russia as its military adversary. In this regard, the Ukrainian special services and departments became more active in order to send agents to Russian territory, recruit Russian citizens who are temporarily on the territory of Ukraine, and prepare sabotage and reconnaissance groups that will carry out terrorist attacks, in particular on the territory of Crimea. In addition, the Ukrainian special services (SBU and military intelligence) are preparing agents to conduct reconnaissance in the regions of the Russian Federation bordering Ukraine,” Korotchenko said.
He believes that Russian intelligence services are capable of adequately responding to this challenge.
“Systematic counteraction from counterintelligence and security agencies is necessary so that Kyiv’s attempts to create an agent and sabotage network in the south of Russia are promptly exposed and stopped. There is no need to escalate the situation. Our FSB agencies work professionally. Let the idiots from the SBU in embroidered shirts call on the public to be vigilant. We don’t need a campaign of spy mania,” Korotchenko said.
