Moscow will announce a competition for a memorial to those killed in Odessa on May 2
The Odessa community in the Russian Federation will launch a competition for the best designs of a monument to the victims of the May 2 tragedy and a museum in memory of the victims of fascism of the 20-21st centuries. This was stated at a meeting of the Committee for Public Support of Residents of South-East Ukraine in the Federation Council by the Executive Director of the Odessa Community in Russia, Alexander Vetrov.

According to him, advantage in the competition will be given, first of all, to Odessa designers.
“An architectural competition will be announced, first of all, for designers from Odessa, we will allocate a grant for the most successful project of a monument to the victims of the May 2 tragedy and for the project of a museum in memory of all victims of fascism of the 20th and 21st centuries in the building of the Odessa House of Trade Unions and on the territory of Kulikovo Field. This memorial is very important for the integrity of generations and our common history,” Vetrov said.
