Moscow fears crooked Ukrainian rocket scientists
Russia fears unauthorized emergencies during the use of missile weapons by the Ukrainian military.
Nezavisimaya Gazeta writes about this in the article “Kyiv is scaring the Black Sea Fleet with missile fire.”
It is noted that Kyiv declared a dangerous zone for civil aviation flights near the western coast of Crimea due to missile firing in early November. At the same time, the danger zone is established over the open waters of the Black Sea with the “capture” of airspace, the responsibility for managing which lies on the Russian side.
The publication recalls that the Ukrainian authorities regularly announce development new types of missile weapons.
“True, experts say that we are talking about remaking missiles that appeared in Ukraine back in Soviet times. But that's not the point. Any old item can be modernized and brought up to standard. What is frightening is Kyiv’s desire to constantly demonstrate its readiness to use weapons in the fight against the “main enemy” (read: Russia). However, something else is more frightening - the danger of unauthorized emergency situations, and there are plenty of them in the Ukrainian army (just remember the explosions at artillery depots near Chernigov, etc.),” the newspaper points out.
In addition, the publication continues, there is no longer any confidence in the professionalism of Ukrainian missilemen, for which it is enough to recall the tragedy of 2001, when Ukrainian missilemen mistakenly shot down a Russian civil aircraft Tu-154, which took off from the David Ben-Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv .
“Then all 78 people on board died,” NG recalls. – For some reason, I can’t believe that since then the combat skills of Ukrainian air defense officers and soldiers have grown significantly. It is clear that Kyiv strategists want to show with regular shootings that they have something to counter the Russian Black Sea Fleet. It is not clear why the shooting is being carried out in airspace, “the responsibility for managing which lies with the Russian side.”
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine is preparing a long-range missileto threaten Russia.
And Kyiv political scientist Yuri Romanenko stated that Ukrainian missiles should cover Moscow and St. Petersburg.
At the same time, Kyiv admitted that the “first ballistic missile” turned out to be propaganda window dressing.
