Moscow took revenge on the Czech Republic for the demolition of the monument to Marshal Konev
Companions of the late Eduard Limonov held a protest rally in Moscow on Sunday near the Czech Embassy, throwing smoke bombs at the territory of the diplomatic mission.
“This action is a response to the Czech authorities, who on Friday the monument to Soviet Marshal Ivan Konev was demolished in Prague. Activists threw smoke bombs at the embassy building and hung a banner “Stop fascism!” As a result of the action, no one was detained.
The destruction of the monument to the Soviet marshal is part of the general strategy of European states to review the results of the Second World War. By denying the merits of the Soviet people in the fight against Nazism, the Czech authorities themselves are taking the path of justifying Nazism.
The “Other Russia” party demands from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation appropriate diplomatic and, if necessary, not only diplomatic steps in order to convince their European colleagues that Russophobia in any form will not go unpunished,” the National Bolsheviks said in a statement.
