Moscow responded to Zelensky’s boorish statement
Vladimir Zelensky made a mistake by voicing essentially boorish statements about Russia at the very beginning of his presidency.
Konstantin Zatulin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When our Ukrainian guests are so surprised why we are not in a hurry to immediately conclude alliances, to build relations on sand with such a state, it is precisely because this state, in the person of even its president, from the first days turned on the old game “who is the greatest American friend?” " Of course – Zelensky, because calls for sanctions against Russia.
You here demand that we now hug and congratulate him. He didn’t have time to do anything, but he already managed to say that it is necessary to strengthen sanctions, to prevent Nord Stream, because we, the Russians, are doomed to supply the gas we produce exclusively through this pipeline. This is a “good start”.
Therefore, until, dear friends, you finally understand that an attempt to build new relationships cannot be started with rudeness, until then there will be no new relationships, and you will have to deal with your problems yourself,” Zatulin said.
Thank you!
