In Moscow, questions about Russian assistance that were inconvenient for Pashinyan were voiced
From the first days of the current war in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russia offered Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan various options for resolving the conflict, which were much better than the current one, with the transfer of a number of NKR territories to Azerbaijan.
The famous Russian TV presenter of Armenian origin, Roman Babayan, stated this on the NTV channel, citing his sources, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Babayan addressed a number of uncomfortable questions to Pashinyan, including about Russian military assistance and the slowness of the Armenian leadership.
"Something is wrong. People who live in Armenia are simply being deceived. In this regard, I have several questions for Mr. Pashinyan. I believe that I must ask these questions and I really hope that the Armenian Prime Minister will answer these questions and answer them honestly. There is no need to deceive me, because I have a fairly large range of information, I will immediately understand if you start lying, Mr. Pashinyan.
The question is: is it true that the Russian Federation, starting almost from the first day of this war, offered you various models for settlement, and very good models. Not the ones we have now, but very good ones. And each time you listened carefully to these proposals and refused.
Question two: is it true, Mr. Pashinyan, that literally from the first seconds of this confrontation, from the first days of this war, you were offered help, and this help was instantly provided to you, and on a huge scale? Is it true that dozens of Russian military transport planes landed at Armenian military airfields, and not only military airfields? Is it true that you received the weapons systems that you asked for? Personally, you asked and you received them.
Answer these questions, and then we will try to figure out whether you are, in fact, capable of being responsible for what you have done, whether you are capable of leading the state, and the people who still continue to support you today, perhaps they will find out very a lot of new. Just answer these questions honestly. If you do not answer honestly, I will ask you the following questions more specifically, and you will not be able to get away,” Babayan said.
He was joined by another famous Russian journalist, editor-in-chief of MIA Rossiya Segodnya and RT Margarita Simonyan.
“Is it true that all this time you, Mr. Pashinyan, consulted, endlessly talked with your friends not even at the highest level - at different levels in the USA, and that is why you hesitated, that is why you did not make the decisions that were the only ones that could be made, and which Russia proposed in order to stop all this. Is it true that all these negotiations and your negotiators and your slowness, uncertainty, attempt to sit on two chairs led to what they led to?” asked Simonyan.
Let us recall that according to the agreement between Baku and Yerevan signed through the mediation of Moscow, Azerbaijan gains control over seven regions that have been under the control of Nagorno-Karabakh since the 1990s. Moreover, between the warring parties the Russian brigade stood up, previously forcing Georgia to peace.
