There are currently no pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine who could receive any support from the Russian Federation.
Russian politician and writer-publicist Nikolai Starikov shared this opinion on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“It seems to me that today in Ukraine there are no pro-Russian politicians at all, as a class. There are more sensible politicians, and there are less sensible politicians, but from none of them we can expect any decisive actions to end the civil war in their own country; their independence has not yet been demonstrated at all,” he said.
According to the writer, there is no point in Russia supporting anyone in the presidential race in Ukraine, since the head of the country will still be appointed at the behest of the United States.
