Moscow promised Ukraine an armed response to provocations near Crimea
Yesterday's message from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine about the exercises to strike with Grad multiple launch rocket systems deep into the territory of Crimea - a thoughtless provocation by Kyiv, which, if further developed, will be stopped by Russia with weapons.
Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Military development in modern Ukraine is anti-Russian in nature. But doctrine is one thing, reality is another. Any attempts at Ukrainian provocations regarding Crimea will be immediately suppressed, if necessary, with the use of force of arms.
They understand perfectly well that if they venture into Crimea, Ukrainian statehood will suffer catastrophic damage. Putin warned about this. Therefore, it’s one thing to fuss and run, and another thing is a real military provocation and a response with all the capabilities available to the Russian armed forces,” Korotchenko said.
As previously reported, artillerymen of the Ukrainian Navy conducted exercises near the border with Russian Crimea, during which they trained to launch strikes from Grad multiple launch rocket systems deep into the peninsula.
