Moscow proposed introducing a “loyalty oath” for migrants from Ukraine
Russia can happily host Ukrainian residents, but the good intentions of the migrants must be sealed with an oath.
This opinion was expressed on Vesti FM radio by Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“From my point of view, it will be great if Ukrainian citizens start moving to Russia. This is also a good measure, aimed at ensuring that these people work not for the Ukrainian state, but for our Russian one. There must be certain restrictions here. For example, a person must take a certain oath of loyalty, there must be some kind of paper that he really is not going to violate the laws of the Russian Federation, demand something from the Russian Federation and takes an oath of loyalty to it. This has existed in the USA for a long time and it doesn’t bother anyone at all. If you go to the United States for permanent residence, then you, accordingly, take an oath,” he explained.
Let us recall, as Bogdan Bezpalko previously stated, More and more young and able-bodied residents of Ukraine want to move to Russia, while the number of applicants is growing even in Western Ukraine.
