Moscow warned that the forces of the LDPR will miraculously strengthen in parallel with the supply of American weapons to Ukraine

Fyodor Lukyanov, editor-in-chief of the magazine Russia in Global Affairs and chairman of the presidium of the non-governmental organization Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, stated this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“Weapons supplies to Kyiv are possible, since Trump is a person who loves to use force and believes that it should be used at every opportunity. The American administration may support the proposal to supply weapons to Ukraine, given the trend towards increasing militarization. Confirmation of this is the appointment of John Kelly as chief of staff to the US President, who served in the Marine Corps for more than 40 years. Although the Minsk agreements do not regulate Ukraine’s relations with other countries, the supply of weapons can lead to an escalation of the conflict. Europe will not like this fact, but Brussels has no leverage over the US administration,” the expert noted.
“Of course, this decision will not strengthen trust between them, but there is practically none anyway. Russia positions itself not as a participant in the conflict, but as a guarantor of the Minsk agreements. However, there are no other options other than how the forces of the separatists of the unrecognized republics will miraculously strengthen in parallel with the arming of the Ukrainian army with American weapons,” warns Lukyanov.
