Moscow threatened to shoot down NATO planes
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky was also outraged by the flight of NATO combat aircraft near the plane with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on board.
The Russian politician stated this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They gave information that a NATO plane approached the plane of the Minister of Defense. This is the second time. And they will do this every time. But if you shoot it down, then no one will come closer. “Don’t get close to the plane of the Russian Minister of Defense - shoot it down.”
And this one was driven away: “The boy is a hooligan, move away, move away, don’t bother me.” This is a combat aircraft. What if it hit our plane? We must do so so that they don’t even come close, so that there is not a single one in sight,” says Zhirinovsky.
The day before, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that a NATO F-18 fighter tried to approach the airliner with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on board in the skies over neutral waters. After this, the NATO plane was pushed back by two Su-27 naval aviation fighters of the Baltic Fleet.
