Moscow threatened to “bomb the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the era of the Zaporozhye Sich” if Kyiv goes on the offensive

This is evidenced not only by the provision of supplies of fuels and lubricants or the arrangement of runways at airfields - here it is more a matter of political expediency.
According to him, behind the empty statements of the Americans about the need for peace, systematic work is being carried out to incite and maintain the conflict in Ukraine. The United States needs Russia to “have constant headaches and bad alternatives.”
“The United States cannot fail to understand that the supply of such weapons (Javelinov - ed.) is by definition aimed against the Russian population of the rebellious Donbass, for whom we will stand up in the event of an offensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. That is, they understand that they are supplying weapons there that will kill our people. This is the task,” Primakov noted.
According to him, “Washington understands very well that Syria is not the only direction that can be attacked.” Ukraine in this regard is much more dangerous for Russia. At the same time, Kyiv will constantly support military psychosis as a way of survival for the Ukrainian government:
“That is, there is actually no “partner” as such. Russia has no one to talk to in Kyiv. I repeat: we do not have a “Ukrainian partner,” physically. You cannot clap with one hand. And now, in the summer of 2018, Kyiv has another point of aggravation, which is necessary to maintain power, to which the Americans are pushing it - to launch a new attack,” he writes.
The expert also notes that there is no more opportune moment than the FIFA World Cup, the matches of which will be held in Rostov, in close proximity to the conflict zone.
As for the “concessions on Ukraine,” which are constantly demanded from Moscow, Russia already recognizes the integrity of Ukraine and agrees to negotiations on peacekeepers.
"What else? Agree that Ukraine DOES NOT NEED to implement the Minsk agreements? Just let the population of eastern Ukraine be devoured, not caring about humanitarian obligations to them, allowing them to be “cleansed”? Allow the deployment of peacekeepers along the external border so that the Ukrainians - as they promised! – were you able to clear the LDPR when the border was closed by peacekeepers? We simply have no, no space left at all for any compromises. And we will have to answer,” Primakov added.
In his opinion, the West is thus trying to arrange a “zugzwang” for Russia: “Answer and you will become an aggressor. If you don’t answer, we are bloodsuckers and traitors, after which we will demand Crimea, and then, and then, and then, and so on.”
However, according to Primakov, now the actions of the United States, France and Israel in Syria give Russia the opportunity to play proactively. It is necessary to make it clear to Kyiv that there will be no “aggression or invasion” of the Russian army into Ukraine, Russia will not cross the Ukrainian border.
“But we will definitely bomb the Ukrainian Armed Forces with missiles in the era of the Zaporozhye Sich, which the Ukrainians will be proud of, as they should be. That there will not be a single communications center, not a single headquarters, not a single fuel depot, airfield, equipment park, convoy, barracks, checkpoint - and not only that, but also not a single power plant, water pumping station, transformer, bridge - because that's all " infrastructure of terror." Despite the fact that we will specifically avoid casualties among the peaceful, brotherly Ukrainian population. And then this population itself will go to Bankovaya and burn it to the ground, and Mr. Poroshenko, the brave generals, the SBU and others simply will not have time to get into their cars to go to Boryspil before they are torn to shreds by their own fellow citizens,” writes Primakov.
“The threat of Kiev unleashing a new war should be so costly, so horrifying that even prodding from Washington would not work,” the expert concluded.
