Moscow called on the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation not to create Maidan activists with erroneous decisions
Russia must take into account the mistakes of Belarus when preparing for the parliamentary elections scheduled for 2021.
Political scientist Evgeny Minchenko stated this today at a meeting of Russian experts with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to draw attention to political technologies for weakening the situation in the country using the example of Belarus, where today the president held a secret inauguration. Let’s learn from other people’s mistakes,” Minchenko said.
He sees the risks of the Belarusian electoral system in the manipulation of deadlines, a high percentage of early voting, and the removal of candidates who had public support based on formal criteria.
The expert also emphasized the importance of ensuring openness and transparency of the work of the CEC.
“Capcha (a computer test used to determine who the user of the system is: a person or a computer - ed.) on the CEC website is not a technical issue, but a political one. How quickly voters receive data is a political issue. The “Voice” platform in Belarus counted and published protocols faster than the official election commission,” Minchenko warned.
