Moscow called on people to stop “playing the Minsk process with Kyiv thimble makers”
High-ranking Ukrainian officials are recognizedthat they are not going to fulfill their obligations, therefore further negotiations in Minsk are pointless.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian side adopted a resolution that violates the Minsk agreements, what should I talk to you about? We ask: will you cancel it? To which they respond: “We’ll think about it.” You admit that you have not completed it. Kravchuk and Reznikov admit that you violated the Minsk agreements by adopting this resolution of the Verkhovna Rada.
You can’t do anything, you come to the Rada and people like the “Golos” faction and everyone else say to you: “Get out of here.” Reznikov from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada says: “We will not enshrine the special status of Donbass in the Constitution, we don’t want to.”
Wait, why are we even negotiating? Why do we need to meet every week then? In order to come once a week and ask the Ukrainian side if they did what they promised? And they will answer: “No,” Miroshnik told his Ukrainian opponents.
In turn, Russian TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov proposed to stop wasting time and energy on negotiations in Minsk, because the Ukrainian side is still not going to implement anything.
“Rodion, I can’t understand at all, why conduct at least some negotiations with them? If they have chosen a completely unique topic, they say: “We don’t know who is talking to us.” Then they say: “These negotiators do not play any role, because we have a Rada, which is completely independent and the Rada makes decisions.” Then they will say: “And we also have a president.”
The contact group in Minsk is an optional activity, or what? Why even waste time on this? Not a single decision has been implemented. They say: “If the decisions are beneficial to us, yes.” And if you don’t like the decision: “Oh, you know, we have a Rada, we can’t put pressure on them, we have democracy...
Oh, and we also have the popularly elected Goloborodko (the character in the television series “Servant of the People”, played by Zelensky - editor’s note), he too, we can’t force him,” the TV presenter was indignant.
“In other words, they think that this eternal game of thimbles is not visible to anyone? Yes, they are crooks, they are just absolute crooks. Why waste time on them? Tell them calmly: “Get out,” Soloviev suggested.
