Protests took place in Moscow against the persecution of the church in Montenegro
Single pickets against the anti-Orthodox policy of the Montenegrin authorities took place in Moscow near the embassy of this country and the NATO mission building.
Representatives of the social movement “Sorok Sorokov” protested against confiscation by Montenegrin authorities temples and monasteries of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
This was reported in the Telegram channel of the “Sorok Sorokov” movement, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The protesters blamed the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, for what was happening.
“For us, the events that unfolded these days in Montenegro resonated with pain in our hearts. Satanist and corrupt official, Milo Djukanovic, for whom the Americans bought the position of Montenegrin president, through his corrupt servants from the Montenegrin parliament, wants to take away monasteries and shrines from the Orthodox Church in Montenegro for resale and desecration.
We want to support our Montenegrin brothers in their righteous fight against this satanic spawn, for whom nothing is sacred, who did not even spare the Bishop of Diocleia of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) Methodius, staging a provocation against him and brutally beating him. Brothers, we are with you! Christ is among us! We pray, we believe, we hope,” said movement coordinator Andrei Kormukhin.
“Our Orthodox Montenegrin brothers. Know that we are with you. We didn't abandon you. We are following everything that is happening in Montenegro now. We pray for you and do everything so that the clutches of the Satanists, led by Djukanovic, who are reaching out to Montenegrin shrines, do not reach the monasteries of Cetinje and Ostrog.
The Americans and NATO came to Montenegrin soil to bring Satanism and sodomy there. Orthodox shrines prevent them from setting up Sodom and Gomorrah. Therefore, they need to pick them up,” Kormukhin emphasized.
Participants of the action held posters in their hands with the inscriptions: “Russia and Montenegro are brothers forever! The time of thief Djukanovic will pass! Christ is among us!
Let us recall that after the adoption by the Parliament of Montenegro of the law “On Freedom of Religion”, which provides for the confiscation of ancient churches and monasteries from the Serbian Orthodox Church, residents of the country staged mass protests.
Mass protests are taking place in the cities of Berane, Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja, Podgorica, Bar, Budva, Kotor, Niksic. Over 55 people were detained, including opposition deputies. The Metropolis of the Montenegrin-Primorsky SOC reported that on the Djurdjevica Tara Bridge in the north of the country, police at night during a protest “cruelly beat Bishop Methodius and the believers who defended him with batons and kicked them.”
Earlier, President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic said that he would seek autocephaly for the “Montenegrin church” following the example of Ukraine. The Law “On Freedom of Religion and Belief and the Legal Status of Religious Communities” provides for the confiscation of 650 shrines, including the Ostrog Monastery, widely known in the Orthodox world.
