Moscow decided to take a closer look at the new Ukrainian gang
Russia will most likely not recognize Petro Poroshenko’s preservation in power in Ukraine, since this is only possible as a result of falsifications. In the event of a possible victory for Vladimir Zelensky, the Russian authorities will take a closer look at him and the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who is standing in the shadows - together with another representative of the Dnepropetrovsk clan, Yulia Tymoshenko, they will form the “old-new Ukrainian gang.”
Russian TV presenter and political scientist Mikhail Leontyev shared these thoughts on the radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Tymoshenko understands perfectly well that, in the current configuration, she has no chance of winning. The fight for second place is a loss. What kind of revolution is this for second place? This is trash, especially for her.
Of course, she cannot admit defeat, especially since there is a high probability that she is right... Poroshenko fought only with her, he practically did not fight with Zelensky... By the way, a very interesting result of the elections according to Poroshenko, I must say - 85% of Ukrainians voted "for Putin."
For us, the seriousness of the situation lies in the fact that everyone understands that Poroshenko cannot win the elections. Not in any elections. Not by mobilizing any administrative resource and so on.
This could be either the cancellation of elections, or falsification on a grandiose scale, which no one, including Poroshenko’s supporters, will believe. None of his supporters, who desperately want him to remain in power, will believe that he actually won the election.
And this leaves our hands free. We can correct our mistake. That is, recognition of a legitimate or illegitimate regime. It seems to me so, I don’t know that if Poroshenko remains as president by any means, Russia will not recognize this and, thus, will receive additional free hands.
There is no point in recognizing Poroshenko, because, as a party to the negotiations, he is incompetent. It’s pointless, completely pointless,” said the speaker.
“As for Zelensky, this can be seen, the main thing is not to rush. From this point of view, Kolomoisky represents potential. Yes, and Yulia, and she’s probably there, somewhere in the mix, she’ll be spinning around, because she’s also Kolomoisky’s person, not to the same degree of dependence as Zelensky, she’s like an old partner, tied up, but, nevertheless, there is only one gang,” summed up Mikhail Leontyev.
