Yulia Tymoshenko's meeting with Donald Trump suggests that the White House may consider her as the main political partner in Ukraine.

This opinion was expressed today on the Russian Channel One by Ruslan Ostashko, editor of the online magazine PolitRussia.ru.
“Tymoshenko is the only Ukrainian politician who was able to meet with Trump and to whom the White House responded. Tymoshenko was appointed “beloved wife of the new Sultan,” but her place was shown to her. When she said that Trump promised not to lift sanctions against Russia, the White House very harshly said that this did not happen, and she, as a former prime minister, has no right to conduct such negotiations,” Ostashko said.
He believes that Tymoshenko’s statement about introducing martial law in the Donbass, which followed the meeting with Trump, is aimed at removing Petro Poroshenko from power.
“Her statement on the introduction of martial law is a de facto recognition of war, which is very important from a legal point of view. This blocks Poroshenko’s chances of receiving IMF loans. Next, the “beloved wife” will blame the Poroshenko regime for the war. A crisis of power is coming and there are very good reasons to hold new elections and introduce Russian peacekeeping forces,” Ostashko believes.
