Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have taken note of the information about the reduction in civilian casualties.
Nevertheless, the current casualty statistics: 15 killed and 72 wounded are shocking. These unjustifiable killings must stop immediately. Of particular concern is the continuous shelling of civilian targets from heavy artillery, mines, the use of booby traps and improvised explosive devices,” Zakharova said, commenting on the 20th report of the UN mission for August-November 2017.
The Russian Foreign Ministry fully supports the UN appeal to official Kyiv with a call to implement the July agreement on the creation of security zones around the filtration and water pumping stations in Donetsk.
“This threatens not only the deprivation of 0,5 million people of access to drinking water, but also an environmental disaster. I would like to remind the Kyiv authorities that shelling civilian infrastructure is contrary to their international obligations,” Zakharova said.
