Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov is going to organize a protest in Moscow against the possible transfer of the Kuril Islands to Japan. He stated this on Roy TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We have decided to organize a protest that will take place in Moscow on January 19 or 20 of this year. We will inform you additionally about the place and time of the promotion. We will try to obtain approval in the manner prescribed by law for holding a rally.

However, if our applications to hold protests, fully verified from a legal point of view, are rejected by the authorities, we will, in any case, hold a people’s gathering on January 20 of this year, at which we will protest against the possible transfer of the South Kuril Islands to Japan,” said Strelkov.
