In Moscow, Ukraine was called the “mother” of the North Korean defense miracle
North Korea's unexpected breakthrough in missile technology in 2014 may be directly related to the Ukrainian Euromaidan.

Russian political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this today on the Vesti FM radio station, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Some associate this with instability in Ukraine and the possible flight of missile industry specialists from there. Or technology transfer. After all, thanks to the heroic Maidan, Yuzhmash lost Russian orders and found itself on the brink of disaster. Specialists from there could provide some assistance in the implementation of the Korean missile program to North Korea,” Mikheev said.
He believes that the United States hastened to hush up this matter, because then it would have become clear that Western activity in Ukraine stimulated North Korea to advance its nuclear program.
“It’s the same thing with the Arab Spring. First they destroyed Libya, Syria and Iraq, and then they started moaning about migrants and terrorism. First they destroy, and then they start fighting,” Mikheev said.
According to him, then, in 2014, many specialists from defense enterprises moved from Ukraine to Russia.
“People are coming who used to work at Nikolaev shipyards, who now have no orders,” Mikheev said.
