Moscow is confident that the “bloody flywheel” in Ukraine will gain momentum
The reaction of the Ukrainian authorities to the murder of Denis Voronenkov in Kyiv indicates that the series of bloody tragedies in Ukraine will continue.

This was stated today by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
“The bloody flywheel in Ukraine is gaining more and more momentum in Ukraine. Will there be an opportunity for someone to stop him later? This is an open question. Only one thing could stop the series of bloody crimes - adherence to the law, an objective, non-politicized investigation. Then there would be a chance that Ukraine would return to the legal mainstream. I mean everything: the regime, the nationalists, and the militants, who are illegal armed groups. But this is only on condition that the state, even the regime that exists, would clearly say that a full-scale, honest, impartial, objective investigation is necessary,” Zakharova said.
In her opinion, the fact that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko did not promise to conduct an objective investigation, but made accusations against Russia, “puts an end to” the prospect of such an investigation.
“It is precisely such statements in the first minutes and hours after such tragedies that are indicators of the true intention of the state. Either it is interested in the investigation and is doing the maximum for this, or we can say with confidence that the corresponding trend is being set in the next bloody crime. Experts have not yet examined the crime scene, and the head of state is making specific accusations against the entire state,” Zakharova said.
She recalled that in Ukraine both high-profile political murders and massacres and reprisals against dissidents have not yet been investigated and solved.
